9/24/06 P.S. Sorry, the article this links to has been removed from the Charleston Post and Courier site. The article included a video from a police camera unmistakably showing North Charleston ombudsman James Bell keying the rear door of a North Charleston councilman's SUV. You just gotta love the South Carolina Lowcountry!

Pretty crazy! Just as crazy is his attorney - with a straight face, mind you - saying Bell wasn't feeling well and just leaned against the car for support. And Bell's an ombudsman for the city? I think he's right up there with the Mt. Pleasant councilman who slapped the lady in the face after she cut him off on the bridge. Where do we find these people?
