$41.8 Million Heads Up

According to the AARP's monthly newsletter in May, the IRS spent $41.8 million "to mail notices alerting taxpayers to expect economic stimulus payments". Guess they figured we'd all miss that $600 being deposited into our bank accounts. Or did they just want to make sure Bush got the credit?

Kathie says my blogging leans toward the political side. Go figure.

It's hard not to be political, especially when you hear stuff like that. Even all the way over here. I can really work myself into a tizzy.

Geez, I hadn't seen that number. Yikes. Wouldn't they have been better off throwing that money out of planes in our more populated areas, and forgetting about the $600?

What a great idea, Pam! Why didn't they think of that?
