Children of Cuba

These are some of the children, hanging out after school and watching the progress on their playground built by It's Just the Kids, and at the end of the week when the playgrounds opened.

They all look so happy. And that is some serious-looking playground equipment. I never had stuff that fun when I was a kid!

Even in these poorer neighborhoods - and we went into the schools and home - the children were happy looking, well behaved (!) and strikingly there is virtually no obesity as you can see by the pictures. All billboards, the few there are -- and they are of course government sponsored -- will tell you all children are immunized and there are no homeless children in Cuba. This is the up side of Cuba.
